The users details are exclusive property of ARPANet Srl, hereinafter ARPANet, and will be used in compliance with the Italian privacy decree n.196/2003 and the other personal data protection laws in force when the users fill in the registration form.

The registration form consists of two kinds of fields, mandatory and optional. Refusal to completing the optional fields happens without consequences, while refusal to completing the mandatory fields entails the impossibility for ARPANet to provide the service.

ARPANet uses the data in compliance with the Italian privacy decree 196/2003, which implies: 1.recording, registering, organizing, storing, processing, selecting, comparing, using, interconnecting the data; 2. processing the data provided by the users and the ones inferred from the surfing in order to create a commercial profile of the users; 3. using the commercial profile of the user for marketing purposes; 4. collecting, storing and processing the data for administrative purposes; 5. using the commercial profile for own or third parties marketing purposes. In case ARPANet should become an international group, the users personal data could also be available in foreign countries, both in and outside EU, in particular in UK and USA. The data will be shared with ARPANet foreign offices, that will use them for the same purposes.

The details can be organized in database or records.

The users personal details will be: 1. stored by ARPANet, the exclusive owner, and possibly organized in a database; 2. processed for statistic purposes, in order to create a commercial profile of the users; 3. anonymously shared with third parties as global statistics; 4. used by ARPANet for own or third parties commercial purposes. The treatment of personal data for the purposes here described is not mandatory and requires the consent of the users. Nonetheless, refusal to the treatment of personal data entails the impossibility for ARPANet to provide the service.

Moreover, ARPANet reminds the users that, in compliance with the current personal data protection laws, Furthermore, we inform you that your personal information may be disclosed to third parties to comply with legal obligations, i.e. if we receive orders from public authorities that require us to do so or if such disclosure is required in order to exercise a right before a court.

In compliance with the article 7 of the Italian privacy decree 196/2003 the users have the right to: 1. update and correct their data whenever they need to; 2. have their data canceled, corrected or kept anonymously should they be used infringing the personal data treatment laws; 3. ask for a copy of their documents; 4. know the identity of the person who is in charge of the treatment of the personal data; 5. object, partially or completely, to receiving advertisement or commercial material.

The users guarantee that the personal details they provided are correct, up-to-date and complete.

The service is accessed through an identification code (Username) and a password. The users are aware that third parties knowing both username and password could access the service in their place. Therefore the users must keep their password secret and reserved and inform ARPANet as soon as possible in case of its loss or theft. The users will be held responsible for any damage or prejudicial consequence caused to ARPANet or to third parties in consequence of the failure to comply with this rule.

ARPANet commits itself to defend its users privacy, but denies any responsibility in case the data should be used for non-consented purposes as a consequence of illicit intrusions in the database.
